How we look after personal information at Flow Studio Bray.
This policy explains what happens to your personal information when you use flowstudiobray.ie, send us an enquiry, or book a class with us. We have written it in plain English rather than legal language. If anything here is unclear, please ask us.
Who we are
Flow Yoga & Pilates Studio Bray is the trading name of Bray Strength and Performance Gym Ltd, company number 514286, registered in Ireland. Our studio is at 34 Ardee Street, Bray, Co. Wicklow, A98 W684.
We are the data controller for the information described on this page, which means we are the ones who decide what is collected and why. For anything to do with your personal information, email us at info@flowstudiobray.ie.
The short version
- This website itself collects very little. It is mostly a front door.
- Our booking system, GloFox, is where enquiries, bookings, memberships, payments and member accounts actually live.
- We use Google Analytics only if you choose to accept it. It is switched off unless you say yes.
- We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or remarketing.
What we collect, and why
Visiting the website
Our hosting provider records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is what allows the site to be delivered to you and kept secure.
Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website.
Sending an enquiry through the form on this site
The enquiry form on our contact page is provided and run by GloFox, our booking and membership system. What you type into it goes to GloFox, not into this website. That normally means your name, your email address, a phone number if you give one, and whatever you tell us in your message.
Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before you join, and our legitimate interest in replying to people who get in touch.
Emailing us directly
If you email info@flowstudiobray.ie, we hold your message and our reply so we can deal with what you asked about.
Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering you, and, where your email is about joining or booking, taking steps at your request before you join.
Booking, memberships and payments
All of this happens inside GloFox. When you buy a membership, a class pack or a drop-in, or when you log in to your member account, GloFox's own pages open in a new tab and you are dealing with that system directly. Your booking history, membership details, account details and payment records are held there. We do not see or store your full card details on this website.
Lawful basis: performing our contract with you as a member or customer.
Website analytics
If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people find useful, so we can improve the site. Advertising features, remarketing, ad personalisation and Google Signals are all switched off. If you do not accept analytics, Google Analytics is not loaded at all.
Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Records we are required to keep
Where we have to keep records for tax or accounting reasons, we keep them for as long as the law requires.
Lawful basis: our legal obligations.
Who else handles your information
We use a small number of established providers to run the studio and the website. Each of them only handles your information in order to provide their service to us.
GloFox, part of ABC Fitness
Our booking and membership platform. Enquiries, bookings, memberships, payments, member accounts and customer records are held in GloFox. It also provides the enquiry form and the class timetable that appear on this site.
Provides Google Analytics 4, and only if you have accepted analytics.
Cloudflare
Hosts and delivers this website, and handles the technical logs that come with serving pages securely.
Whether your information leaves Europe
GloFox, Google and Cloudflare are all part of international groups, so some of the information they hold for us may be stored or accessed outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that happens, those providers are required to use recognised legal safeguards for the transfer, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an approved adequacy framework. If you would like more detail on the position for a particular provider, email us and we will tell you what we hold on file.
How long we keep things
- Enquiries that come to us directly, including email: 24 months from your last contact with us, unless you ask us to remove them sooner.
- Anything held inside GloFox, such as your bookings, membership and account: governed by our arrangements with GloFox as our booking system. If you want your GloFox record removed, contact us and we will deal with it.
- Analytics: retained by Google under the settings on our account.
- Records we must keep by law: for the period the law requires.
Automated decisions and AI
We do not make decisions about you by automated means. Nothing here scores you, profiles you, or decides anything about your membership without a person involved.
There is no chatbot or automated assistant on this website. Some of the studio photography you see is a concept visualisation made with AI while the building work is being finished, and it is labelled as such wherever it appears.
If we add anything of that kind later, such as an assistant that answers questions for us, we will update this page first and tell you plainly what it does.
Your rights
Under Irish and EU data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- have anything inaccurate corrected;
- ask us to delete your information, where that applies;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to us using it;
- receive information you gave us in a portable format, where that applies;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we relied on consent.
To use any of these rights, email info@flowstudiobray.ie. We will normally reply within one month. There is no charge.
Changing your mind about cookies
Analytics is the only optional thing this site loads, and it stays off unless you accept it. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time using the link, which also sits in the footer of every page. Our cookie notice explains what is stored and by whom.
If you are not happy
Please tell us first, so we have a chance to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission, which is the supervisory authority for data protection in Ireland.
